As an organization that seeks to assure that all families have access to adequate housing, Habitat for Humanity plays an active role in worldwide disaster recovery efforts, assisting those affected by the Tsunami in Southeast Asia (2004), Hurricane Katrina (2005) and the recent earthquake in Haiti. Nationally, Habitat for Humanity Argentina (HPHA) has carried out projects in support of those affected by flooding in Santa Fe (2003 and 2007) and Tartagal (2009).
At this time, Habitat for Humanity Argentina is working to show solidarity towards the Chilean people affected by the devastating earthquake of February 27th by channeling resources and assistance to the national office of Habitat for Humanity Chile.
